The Knoxville Dollars for Scholars chapter is an affiliate of the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation of America, a national, non-profit student and service organization.  Their tax-exempt  status insures that all contributions are tax-deductible. 

 

The program also benefits from Collegiate Partners.  Over thirty-five schools in Iowa and many nationwide are Collegiate Partners, including the three State Universities, many Iowa Community Colleges, and the Iowa Conference Private Colleges.  Collegiate Partners agree that an award up to $1000 that a student receives from a local Dollars for Scholars program will not reduce the student’s financial aid package.  Further, “Collegiate Partners Plus” agree to exceed the $1000 limit to a level established by that institution. 

 

Some Collegiate Partners make an additional commitment as “matching partners” by matching scholarship awards coming to  

them from Dollars for Scholars chapters. On a local level, 100%  

of all contributions go toward scholarships for graduating  

Knoxville students.
